Privacy Policy

Short version: Study Concise is a local-first app. Your notes, PDFs, and drawings stay on your device. We do not run servers that collect your content, we do not show ads, and we do not sell or share your data. The only data that ever leaves your device is what you choose to sync — to your own Google Drive.

What the app stores, and where

Your content — notes, PDFs, drawings, annotations, tags, and settings — is stored on your device in the app's private storage. It is not transmitted to the developer.

Optional Google Drive sync

If you turn on sync and connect a Google account, the app uses Google Drive to keep your library in step across your devices. Specifically:

  • It requests only the drive.file permission, which lets the app access only the files it creates in your Drive — it cannot see or touch any of your other Drive files.
  • Your content is uploaded to a folder in your own Google Drive. We never receive it.
  • Sign-in uses Google's standard OAuth. The resulting access tokens are stored only on your device and are used solely to sync your files.
  • You can disconnect at any time in the app, and revoke the app's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions .

What we do not do

  • No advertising and no ad networks.
  • No selling or sharing of your personal data.
  • No analytics or tracking inside the app.
  • No accounts on our servers — there are no servers that hold your content.

Children

Study Concise is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Your content is kept in the app's private, sandboxed storage on your device. Sync uses encrypted HTTPS connections to Google. As with any app, keeping your device and Google account secure is important to protecting your data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised policy at this URL.
